They Shall be Holy
קְדֹשִׁים יִהְיוּ
Remembrance Day 2015-5775
6.’ They shall be holy to their G-d, and they shall not profane the Name of their G-d; for the Fire-Offerings of Hashem, the bread of their G-d, they offer; and thus they shall be holy- קְדֹשִׁים יִהְיוּ לֵאלֹהֵיהֶם וְלֹא יְחַלְּלוּ שֵׁם אֱלֹהֵיהֶם כִּי אֶת אִשֵּׁי יְהוָה לֶחֶם אֱלֹהֵיהֶם הֵם מַקְרִיבִם וְהָיוּ קֹדֶשׁ (2969 = 26=8).
Rashi comments here that it is the responsibility of the court to ensure that the Priests remain pure regarding their coming into contact with the dead and they can be coerced in this matter (Torat Kohanim, perek 1.6).
The verse end and begins with holiness:
· They shall be holy- קְדֹשִׁים יִהְיוּ= 485=18 or 1045=10=1
· And they shall be holy- וְהָיוּ קֹדֶשׁ= 431=8 or + 2 words=10=1
1476=18 (Mem 600)
Thus we see a Priest is entirely enveloped in holiness from beginning to end-1-8-18.
The word “their G-d”- אֱלֹהֵיהֶם (651 -Mem 600) is written 3 timesin the verse.
651*3=1953=18
