גְּדִי אֶחָד
חַד גַּדְיָא

In my opinion the song “Had Gadya”- חַד גַּדְיָא is far more than a simple children’s song sang at the end of the Passover Seder. It has very deep kabalistic significance and teaches us that the Torah/Universe is encrypted in the Code of 1 and 8 (Hai), and that the circle of life and death is governed by Hashem who will at the End save Israel from Exile among the Nations and bring about their Final Redemption.

The gematria of the first line of the song (written in Aramaic) which is also its chorus is:

One kid One kid
חַד גַּדְיָא חַד גַּדְיָא
60+4 words=10=1

That father bought for two Zuzim
דְּזַבִּין אַבָּא בִּתְרֵי זוּזֵי
719=17=8

One kid One kid
חַד גַּדְיָא חַד גַּדְיָא
60+4 words=10=1

The Hebrew translation of the Aramaic words “Had Gadya”- חַד גַּדְיָא (“one kid”) is- גְּדִי אֶחָד.

The phrases in both Hebrew and Aramaic have identical gematriot as they are comprised of the same letters. The letter "Aleph" at the end of the word "kid"-   גַּדְיָא in Aramaic is removed and placed at the beginning of the word "one" in Hebrew- אֶחָד:

גְּדִי אֶחָד
חַד גַּדְיָא

The gematria of the word “kid”- גְּדִי is 17=8 and the word “One”- אֶחָדcorresponds to the number 1.

The number 17 (8) is the small gematria of the word “Jew”-יְהוּדִי.

The “Father”- אַבָּא (4) is Hashem (1) who bought the Kid for 2 coins “Zuzim”- זוּזים (70+1 word=8).

The "two Zuzim"זוּזים- (8) round coins correspond to two circles (8).

Thus Hashem (1) who is Father (4) bought one (1) kid (Jew) (8) with two circles (8) and redeemed him from Egypt.

Pesach= 148 = פסח
