The 'Death" of Jacob

 Beraishit 50.1 בראשית

1.’And Joseph fell- וַיִּפֹּל יוֹסֵף (282+2 words=14=8), upon his father's face, and he wept upon him, and he kissed him- עַל פְּנֵי אָבִיו וַיֵּבְךְּ עָלָיו וַיִּשַּׁק לוֹ(865+7 words=872=17=8).

The verse can also be divided so:

·         And Joseph fell upon his father’s face- וַיִּפֹּל יוֹסֵף  עַל פְּנֵי אָבִיו(541=10=1);

·         And he wept upon him and he kissed him- וַיֵּבְךְּ עָלָיו וַיִּשַּׁק לוֹ(1086+4 words=1090=10=1 counting final Kaf as 500).

The number 541 is the gematria of the word “Israel”- יִשְׂרָאֵל.

Thus when Israel expired Joseph fell. Joseph knew that when his father died the slavery of Israel was about to begin.

And Joseph fell upon his father’s face and he wept upon him

וַיִּפֹּל יוֹסֵף עַל פְּנֵי אָבִיו וַיֵּבְךְּ עָלָיו

Shabbat

שבת

702=1+8

Joseph knew that his father had gone to his place in the next world-the Eternal Shabbat of the World to Come; there he is alive.

Thus we see that Israel- יִשְׂרָאֵל (541) had entered Shabbat- שבת (702)and they became 1:

541+702=1243=10=1
