Repentance existed before Creation

Rabbi Elazar said:

Seven things were created until (before) the world was created and these are: The Torah, and The Garden of Eden and Gehennom and the Throne of Glory and The Temple and the Name of Mashiach and The Repentance; and with Torah He created the world.

As the source of genuine “Repentance”- תשובה is from the Eighth Sphira it existed before Creation itself (Pesachim 54.a). Teshuva thus has the ability to reverse the punishment and turn ones sins of a sexual nature in the Sphira of Yesod into Mitzvoth thus reversing the curses into blessings. In other words the more one has sinned and reached a lower place the higher he can rise if his repentance is genuine. By rising from his lowly place he then shines light into the lowliest darkest places that he has come from causing great pleasure to Hashem. He thus causes a “fixing” below of his sins. This is why our Sages teach us that those who return to Hashem in genuine repentance stand at a different place “level” than those who are righteous and who have not sinned at all-מקום שבעלי תשובה עומדים אין צדיקים גמורים יכולים לעמוד שם  (Sanhedrin 99.a).

Even the totally righteous cannot stand in the place where the masters of repentance stand

This saying of the Sages has the identical gematria of the first verse of the Torah and to it they were alluding:
In the Beginning G-d created the Heaven and the Earth

2701=10=1

In other words the entire creation process was for Israel to repent.

The Fall of Man was thus a foregone conclusion!
